“As always, a really good team awaits my visits here. Shivani Singh was so kind, thoughtful, and the hygienist was equally so. No worries from me!”
Dr Singh is the Principal Dentist for Wash Common Dental Practice and has been since 2007.
He completed his dental training from Guy’s and St. Thomas Dental School, London, and has been working in general practice for 22 years. He worked as a senior house officer at St. George’s Hospital and The Royal London Hospital, where he was a clinical trainer and an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons. Over the years, Dr Singh has mentored numerous dentists and runs teaching sessions for other dentists.
Dr Singh completed a further three-year full-time training in Oral Surgery and Implant Dentistry. He wanted to offer the best clinical service to his patients based on sound scientific evidence and comprehensive training. He has been placing implants for the past 20 years, ranging from single tooth replacement to full mouth rehabilitation, and over the years, he has placed thousands of implants.
Some patients who were referred to Dr Singh for Implant treatment could be offered an alternative treatment, so he completed another three years of Endodontic training and now offers endodontic treatment to his patients. Dr Singh has a large referral base, and Endodontic treatment means that the patients can retain their own natural teeth without having to undergo implant treatment.
Dr Singh then completed a four-year programme in Advanced Prosthodontics (MClin Dent Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics) from King’s College Dental School, London. This enables him to complete complex restorative treatment for patients who require implant-retained dentures, complete full mouth rehabilitation and smile makeover, which includes complex veneers and crowns.
Dr Singh has treated many patients with TMD (Temporomandibular Dysfunction), clenching and grinding and advanced tooth wear. This involves opening the bite with palatal veneers and complex composite fillings.
